Blue-headed Parrots (Pionus menstruus) at a clay lick, Amazon Rainforest of South America
Many species of parrots use clay from outcrops, like this, to help with digestion of under-ripe and mildly toxic fruits, which they would be unable to eat otherwise. It’s basically a natural antacid.
