Joys of parrot-keeping. Gracie again.

I needle felted this Moluccan Cockatoo special for a man who has a great Moluccan Cockatoo named, Calboy. I based this sculpture on his Cockatoo’s personality. He is about life size, maybe a bit smaller. He is felted over a strong wire armature of 16 Gauge aluminum wire, for good balance. The beak is sculpted with Fimo and then hand painted. It’s wired into the sculpture and also glued, so it’s nice and strong.

I went to the cat sanctuary today with catnippackets and and-the-words-so-sweet and it was the best bes tbest best best
I was this happy the entire time
Also this was just after I finished crying because this kitty made me so happy.
it was so fun and the cats were so cute ahhhh if any of you live in the vancouver/richmond area defs check this place out!! its amazing if you love cats
