When I first moved to Vancouver I passed some asshole as he started cussing out two women wearing hijabs, they were with CHILDREN, and I’ll be haunted forever by the fact that I didn’t call him out like this woman did. I was afraid for my safety, but all the way home I was just seething and shaking because I didn’t do anything. I probably could’ve punched him out.

I guess it takes an experience like that to know that if you ever see it again, you’ll know what you have to do. Don’t be afraid to call shit out. It’s the greatest power you have.
