A predatory seagull cannibalizing a starling after smashing it on a roof to disable it
This is cool and all but it’s not really “cannibalizing” it if it’s eating a starling. Saying a bird is a “cannibal”for eating another bird is sort of like saying it’s cannibalism to eat a cheeseburger because it’s another mammal.
Birds just sort of happen to look similar enough to each other that we consider it more weird.
Seagulls are known for cannibalism though, they’ve been known to do the same thing to other seagull chicks and eat the bodies of dead seagulls. In this case “cannibalizing” is the wrong word entirely, but a cannibal seagull is far from unheard of.
Oh I believe it. I’m pretty sure a seagull would eat its own dear mother.
