quick question

for the transguys who have come out to both parents:

who was more accepting towards you, your mom or dad? initally and for the months following. do you think this parent was more accepting because that’s just how their personality is or do you think it was related to them being a man or woman?

Bit of a fun story. My dad is very supportive, although we havent spoken much since his stroke. the only thing is that he expressed concerned about the health risks involved. After assuring him that I have thought long and hard about this for a decade and that i have done years of research, he was more at ease. MY MOTHER ON THE OTHER HAND. OH BOY. Her result was a mix of crying, “Where did I go wrong” and heres the kicker- “Why cant you be a butch girl and marry a girly man?” Now, i was very close to a man that was very feminine whom I had promised to marry. But he died. AND MY MOTHER SAID THIS TO ME LIKE A MONTH AFTER HE PASSED. THANKS MOM. Anyway, My mother worked with my best-friend’s mother-in-law, and she is like an aunty to me. At work she said to my mother “Your son really didnt like the pinapple on the ham last night, it was funny” And my mom stopped her and was like “who-?… Richard?” “No, Courtney” “THAT IS NOT MY SON. SHE IS MY DAUGHTER” /rant over
